Mottled fused-glass chips create rich surface variation, while black powdered glass adds defining lines and detail. The piece is built from multiple layers of fusing glass pieces, chips, and powders, then kiln-fired several times at varied temperatures to achieve its depth, texture, and detail.

Specks of colors are carefully layered as glass pieces, chips, and powders fuse together under heat, forming intricate patterns.
